FEE – In any academic discipline, one can find two types of experts: those who are incapable of explaining complex ideas in a simple manner; and those capable of making the difficult look easy. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the death Henry Hazlitt, one of the few economists who belongs to the second group.
Born in Philadelphia in 1894, Hazlitt developed his career as a journalist in the most influential newspapers and magazines of the country, starting at The Wall Street Journal as a typographer in 1914. During the 1920s, he wrote for several printed media outlets, including The New York Evening Post and The Nation, of which he was appointed literary director.
Hazlitt pointed out that short-sighted economic policies aimed at satisfying the claims of particular groups end up reducing the welfare of the majority.
In 1934, Hazlitt became the chief editorial writer of The New York Times, where he gained a reputation for writing about economics and finance from a free-market perspective. His outspoken opposition to the Bretton Woods Agreement had him fired after 12 successful years at the most important newspaper of the Big Apple. Yet he continued to be dedicated to his passion for writing until his death in 1993.
Despite his lack of formal academic training, Hazlitt showed a deep interest in the field of economics, which led him to write several books on the topic. In 1946, he published one of the best introductory texts on economics ever written: Economics in One Lesson.

Raleigh, NC — In an outrageous abuse of power, the North Carolina Democratic Party teamed up with Democrat State Attorney General Josh Stein to try and stop the Republican Party from recruiting candidates for public office. The shocking intimidation effort happens just days before the critical candidate filing period comes to a close. The complaint references an alleged phone call made from the NCGOP to recruit candidates for the state House, supposedly received by an anonymous individual.
Attempting to use the full police power of of the state by using its top law enforcement officer, the NCDP is attempting to seize the telephone records of the Republican Party, specifically phone calls made to candidates and potential candidates for public office. NCGOP called the claim “a blatant attack on the free speech and free association rights of North Carolina Republicans.” Party leaders said the move by Democrats was intended to have a “chilling effect on the very activities that are the essence of the Party’s reason for existence.”
“I have made hundreds of calls to potential candidates in the last few weeks. It is impossible to know which call the they are referring to without knowing who made the initial complaint. Democrats are asking us a question, knowing fully well that they haven’t given us enough information to answer it. They are attempting to use the full weight of police powers of the North Carolina Department of Justice to intimidate their rival political party, the Republican Party, from making calls to voters and asking them to run for office. This is a basic aspect of Party operation, and to seize the telephone records of the Republican Party is attempt to once again throw chaos into our election process.” – Dallas Woodhouse, NCGOP Executive Director
“This is a shocking complaint which constitutes a fundamental misuse of the statute alleged and effort to chill candidates into not filing for elected office, as well as trying to impose remedies that are clearly unavailable in the statute. Because the facts stated do not satisfy the requirement of the statute, the Attorney General should have rejected it. He should have seen for what it is– an attempt to chill constitutional protected political speech. Political speech and recruitment of candidates to run for political office is at the very core of the First Amendment. The overreaction by the Democratic Party in both the complaint and relief sought is a severe abuse of process, one that the Attorney General’s office participated in.” – Tom Stark, NCGOP General Counsel
The NCGOP is calling on Attorney General Josh Stein to rescind this letter immediately and indicate that his office will stop all candidate recruitment intimidation tactics. As the Governor of our state and the leader of the Democratic Party, Governor Cooper also needs to make clear that he supports the right of all people, regardless of party, to run for office. The NCGOP is also requesting the Democratic Party issue a letter of apology to voters and potential candidates. This was an egregious violation of rights and the appropriate steps must be followed to make up for it.
If, you answer Yes. Then start with the following:
1. Admitting that Your Government is at fault. When they violated your 2nd amendment rights with every arms law, regulation and rule except the 2nd amendment they violated your 2nd amendment rights by removing and infringing your right to keep and bear arms, your right to self preservation, your right to self protection, your right to life. Your 2nd amendment rights must be restored.
2. All Gun Free Zones are Killing Zones and must be removed. All elected officials that that vote for more gun control and refused to repeal All Gun Free Zones which are nothing but Killing Zones plus repeal every arms law, regulation and rule except the 2nd amendment violate their oath of office and need to be voted out of office.
3. The people need to understand that the insane and criminal do not obey laws no matter how many unconstitutional laws our governments make.
4. Tell your elected officials how you feel and what you feel they need to do to fix the problem.
The NCFRM wishes to show our support for the 2nd amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the Supreme Law of the United States, by reminding our elected officers both Federal and State of their Oath of Office. We wish that our member Clubs and our Individual members to contact them and remind them to follow their Oath of Office and support the 2nd Amendment by repealing ALL unconstitutional Arms laws, regulations, and rules. Please, use the following examples for ideas in writing their own emails, faxes and letter to our elected officials.
About Unconstitutional Arms laws, regulations and rules.
Oath of Office: “The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”
— U.S. Constitution, Article VI, clause 3
Oath of Office – U.S. Senators and Representatives
“I, (name of Member), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God” (5 U.S.C. §3331).
North Carolina § 11-7. Oath or affirmation to support Constitutions; all officers take.
Every member of the General Assembly and every person elected or appointed to hold any office of trust or profit in the State shall, before taking office or entering upon the execution of the office, take and subscribe to the following oath:
“I, ___________, do solemnly and sincerely swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States; that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the State of North Carolina, and to the constitutional powers and authorities which are or may be established for the government thereof; and that I will endeavor to support, maintain and defend the Constitution of said State, not inconsistent with the Constitution of the United States, to the best of my knowledge and ability; so help me God.” (1781, c. 342, s. 1, P.R.; R.C., c. 76, s. 4; Code, s. 3312; Rev., s. 2358; C.S., s. 3194; 1985, c. 756, s. 5.)
The Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the Supreme Law of the Land states:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
Note: the people form the Militia, so the right is of the people, NOT the Militia.
The Second Amendment protects the rights of all citizens of the United States and its territories. And puts limits on the powers of the Federal and State Governments, plus EVERY other government in the United States. No Government can violate a citizens rights guaranteed to them under the U.S. Constitution.
Therefore, any and ALL Federal and State including any governments within a State, whose laws concern ARMS are infringements and are ILLEGAL under the U.S. Constitution and are therefore Null and Void as they are Unconstitutional. And this is the point of this paper. In order to be in compliance with they oath of office, our Senators and Representatives need to repeal all laws, regulations and rules concerning Arms. Please, keep in mind that the insane and criminal do not obey laws.
Unconstitutional Official Acts 16 Am Jur 2d, Sec 177 late 2d, Sec 256:
The general misconception is that any statute passed by legislators bearing the appearance of law constitutes the law of the land. The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and any statute, to be valid, must be In agreement. It is impossible for both the Constitution and a law violating it to be valid; one must prevail. This is succinctly stated as follows:
The General rule is that an unconstitutional statute, though having the form and name of law is in reality no law, but is wholly void, and ineffective for any purpose; since unconstitutionality dates from the time of it’s enactment and not merely from the date of the decision so branding it. An unconstitutional law, in legal contemplation, is as inoperative as if it had never been passed. Such a statute leaves the question that it purports to settle just as it would be had the statute not been enacted.
Since an unconstitutional law is void, the general principles follow that it imposes no duties, confers no rights, creates no office, bestows no power or authority on anyone, affords no protection, and justifies no acts performed under it…..
A void act cannot be legally consistent with a valid one. An unconstitutional law cannot operate to supersede any existing valid law. Indeed, insofar as a statute runs counter to the fundamental law of the land, it is superseded thereby.
No one is bound to obey an unconstitutional law and no courts are bound to enforce it.
|NORTH KOREAN THREAT
Since taking office, President Trump has confronted the North Korean dictator unlike any President in decades. And just recently, the governments of North and South Korea have had direct talks for the first time in 9 years. Despite this development, the Trump administration will continue to maintain pressure on the rogue regime. President Trump recently met with North Korean defectors, and Vice President Pence announced in Japan that the United States “will soon unveil the toughest and most aggressive round of economic sanctions on North Korea ever.” This is a President who will remain ever vigilant about this threat until he fulfills his ultimate goal of a completely denuclearized North Korea.
|ANGEL FAMILIESPresident Trump’s dedication to angel families – those who have lost loved ones to violent criminal illegal immigrants – is stronger than ever, as the illegal immigration debate takes center stage. This week, President Trump hosted a White House conference on the scourge of violence perpetrated by MS-13 nationwide and signed a Presidential Memorandum that establishes the National Vetting Center. The center will identify individuals seeking to enter the US who represent a threat to our national security, border security, homeland security, or public safety. President Trump will take every step possible to protect all American families from such heinous violence in the future.|
At the State of the Union address last week, President Trump asked Democrats to join him in standing up for America. What did they do? They just sat there…and sat there….and sat there. That’s why we highlighted the Democrats’ disgraceful acts of disrespect in our latest campaign ad. And while they sat in protest of helping all Americans, a whopping 75% of the country supported the President’s State of the Union address, including his call for unity. The President is undeterred as usual, and won’t let anything stand in the way of our success as a country…including sitting Democrats! Watch the ad by clicking here.
|THE PAYCHECK PRESIDENT
Have you looked at your paycheck lately? It’s February, which means that hard-working Americans will now be able to see their tax cut pay raise for the first time. The President traveled to Cincinnati this week to deliver the great news about our booming economy and the growing impact of his historic tax cuts. This presidential visit occurred as more and more American companies are reporting new bonuses, wage increases, and billions of dollars of investments in our economy, as a direct result of the President’s tax cuts. And no, we’re still not still not tired of winning yet!
The New American – She was enthusiastic about the Muslim “refugees” entering Germany and even founded an organization to aid them. Now Rebecca Sommer (shown) — whom the migrants called “the stupid German whore” behind her back — has changed her tune. She says that the newcomers won’t shed “their medieval view,” are developing “parallel societies” within her country, and that if Germans “don’t wake up quickly, the whole situation will end tragically.”
(Note: Many outlets have reported this story inaccurately, stating that Sommer plans to move to Poland. What she actually said is that she knows Germans who are moving to Poland.)
Yet Sommer, an artist, indigenous-peoples activist, and UN advisor, has also moved — a bit closer to Truth. After founding the organization Working Group Asylum + Human Rights in 2012, she welcomed the huge 2015 influx of Muslim migrants into Germany; she and her 300 volunteers provided German language courses seeking to help the newcomers integrate. As InfoWars reports, “‘At that time I wanted to help everyone and truly believed that all these people were fleeing hell and were in a state of complete distress,’ Sommer told Polish weekly Do Rzeczy.’”
“With the initial hope that ‘their medieval view was going to change with time,’ Sommer soon realized that, ‘Muslim refugees have grown up with values that are totally different[;] they have undergone brainwashing from childhood on and are indoctrinated by Islam and absolutely do not intend to adopt our values,’” InfoWars also informs.
Thanks, Captain Obvious, as the kids might say. Old maxims tell us, “Give me the child for the first seven years and I will give you the man” and “As the twig is bent, so grows the tree.” Whether what was instilled is Islamic or socialist, theological or ideological, it’s naïve to think people will shed their deeply ingrained beliefs just because they step on your terra firma.
And how lacking is the integration? “Among my past and present pupils, I can count on one hand cases of those who are, in my opinion, completely and successfully integrated,” explained Sommer in an interview with Polish site EuroIslam (presented in English by Gates of Vienna).
Sommer “also observed how the migrants, ‘regard we infidels with disdain and arrogance,’ after they began to refer to her as ‘the stupid German whore,’ a realization that she says has led other refugee volunteers to quit,” InfoWars relates.
“Sommer now admits that despite her good intentions, she got it completely wrong and that Muslim migration poses an existential threat to the Germany [sic] way of life, a problem that will only be exacerbated by the process of family reunification, where migrants will be able to invite their relatives to stay in Germany.”
